Marie-Pierre Hasne is Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Oregon Health & Science University. She holds a Doctorate in Pharmacy from Claude Bernard University Lyon 1, France; a PhD in Biochemical Parasitology from the University of Glasgow, Scotland; and a PhD (ABD) in Media and Communications from Europäische Universität für Interdisziplinäre Studien. Her research activity is dedicated primarily to the study of unicellular parasites responsible for human infectious diseases such as leishmaniasis and trypanosomiasis. She taught Research Design & Methods in the MA in Critical Theory and Creative Research Program, PNCA, for four years, and has also taught at Lewis & Clark College
