About

The Oregon Institute for Creative Research: E4 is a school and educational initiative in which students and researchers work on major questions of pressing concern in terms of junctures and intersections (Ethics, Æsthetics, Ecology, Education); a platform for developing new models for research and critique, art and intervention, representation and verification; and a project incubator for actuating optimal futures in the face of massive change, political polarization, and environmental catastrophe. Towards this end, the OICR fosters the work of thinkers and makers devoted to tackling contemporary challenges in new and innovative ways—scholars, theorists, journalists, documentarians, social-justice advocates, artists, writers, and poets.

OICR prohibits any form of discrimination against any person on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, gender identity, pregnancy, age, sexual orientation, marital or parental status, national or ethnic origin, citizenship, disability, genetic information, military or veteran status, or any other legally protected status in the administration of and access to the Institute’s programs and activities, including procedures and processes of admission and employment.  OICR adheres to all applicable state and federal equal opportunity laws and regulations.
