Poet-in-Residence

Annelyse Gelman holds an MFA from the Michener Center for Writers in Austin, Texas, and is the founder, director, and curator of Midst, a digital platform for poetry. Inaugural poet-in-residence at UCSD's Brain Observatory (2012), Lavinia Winter Fellow at New Pacific Studio (2013), Fulbright recipient in Berlin for her work at the intersection of poetry, film, and music (2016), and resident artist at the Fondation Jan Michalski (2019), she is the author of the Everyone I Love Is a Stranger to Someone and POOL. Her work has appeared in The New Yorker, BOMB Magazine, TriQuarterly, The Iowa Review, American Poetry Review, Hyperallergic, and the PEN Poetry Series, among others
